The Computer Arts website has a tutorial on how to make retro-looking Photoshop creation. You can find the article
here. This is a semi-awesome tutorial that teaches you how to make an ad that looks like it was in a magazine a long time ago; it's extremely informative (if you know how to use Photoshop). What I found interesting was when the author took the back of a songbook and made it their background.Old advertisements always look super cool, so this would be a fun thing to do later on.
i did that one too!!!! i like the colors used in it
ReplyDeleteI like how you mentioned the info about how they used the old songbook. Just by looking at the image, I would have never thought they used that.
ReplyDeleteI like the colors in this along with that different vantage points it shows you
ReplyDeleteTotally agree on the "old advertisements always look super cool" thing. It definitely feels nostalgic and looks authentic because of the (for lack of a better word) speckled look. I could definitely see that greenish color being used back then.
ReplyDeletethe retro look makes in this image adds for a cool effect
ReplyDelete"Free" definitely pops out a lot in the design. The checkered design and the soft colors make it look retro. Elbow grease is some awesome stuff
ReplyDeleteThe colors compliment each other, and there is sort of a faded look to it as well. Very aesthetically pleasing.
ReplyDeletei like ho the picture over laps itself. and i also enjoy how the pictuer matches you blog
ReplyDeletei like how they took a picture and made it look retro
ReplyDeleteI really like vintage things, so I love this post. It flows across the whole page.
